2021/22 Registrations – Register your Interest

Due to the ongoing uncertainty of the Sydney Lockdown we have decided to ask for prospective players, both junior and senior, to fill out the expression of interest form.

When we have a more solid start date we will be able to open up registrations.

Some common questions for season 2021/22

Do you know when the season will start?

At this stage we don’t have any certainty on a start date for the season. The NSW State Government has indicated that we are likely to start once NSW reaches the 80% double vaccination target. However, we may be able to start training or grading once NSW hits the 70% double vaccination target, we are waiting for confirmation.

The Seniors playing in the PCBL need to be fully or partially vaccinated and at this stage are planning an end of November start.

Will there be any reduction in fees?

The committee will be meeting prior to the AGM on September 20th to confirm what registrations will be in place for both the junior and senior players.

How will grading be conducted?

The Committee is preparing for the season, just like we will any other year. There has been suggestions that we will be able to train once NSW reaches 70% double vaccination targets (details still to be confirmed) and if we can we will communicate this to junior players.

Why do I need to fill out the expression of interest form, can’t I just wait and register?

We suspect we won’t have much time to prepare when the season start date is announced. So having an idea of how many kids are interested will help us with the planning.

Can I be certain the club will be safe to play with?

We will always follow the NSW Health Advice. Since the beginning of COVID Thornleigh Baseball has taken it very seriously. We implemented QR codes for teams before it was mandatory and each team was provided a cleaning and sanitising kit. Also each dug out was cleaned after games and all home games had a COVID safety officer.

We don’t know what protocols we will have to implement this season but no matter what they are we will do that to ensure the safety of all our players, spectators and officials.
